Health Intelligence.
Within reach.
Fluid Medical was founded on a simple idea: the information you need to stay healthy should not be locked behind a clinic visit, a lab requisition, or a data broker’s paywall.
Health data should work for you.
Most health technology extracts value from users. It aggregates data, sells insights to insurers and advertisers, and leaves individuals with nothing but an app they paid for. We built Fluid Medical to invert that model entirely.
Our urinalysis platform — Oria — gives individuals access to the kind of biomarker tracking that previously required a clinical setting. A simple strip, scanned with your phone, returns results across up to 60 active markers. The data stays with you. It is encrypted, permissioned, and never sold.
At the same time, we built infrastructure that enables organisations — long-term care homes, employers, clinical research teams — to deploy population-level health monitoring without compromising individual sovereignty.
If your health data is being monetised by someone else, it is not YOUR health data.
That principle shapes every product decision we make: from the cryptographic architecture beneath Oria, to the contractual commitments we make to every user, to the deliberate choice to remain headquartered in Vancouver under Canadian data law — with regulated subsidiaries in the United States (Fluid Precision Ltd, Delaware) for CLIA-lab pathways and the UAE (Fluid Scientific FCZO) for MOHAP-compliant data residency.
Two entities. One mission.
Fluid Medical and Fluid Scientific are distinct legal entities by design — separating the consumer product from the IP and infrastructure layer beneath it.
The operating subsidiary. Fluid Medical Ltd builds and operates Oria — the consumer health platform — holds all Vessel-acquired patents and trademarks, leads R&D, and manages all direct relationships with individuals, healthcare organisations, and enterprise clients.
- Oria consumer app (iOS & Android)
- Patent portfolio — 7 active patents (Vessel acquisition, USPTO Feb 2025)
- R&D and strip biomarker science
- Enterprise and institutional contracts

The parent holding company. Fluid Scientific Development Limited owns the sovereign data architecture, the multi-vertical platform layer that Fluid Medical licenses, and provides the infrastructure that enables white-label deployment across regulated markets including Canada, US, and UAE.

How we got here.
It all started with the Founder — Chris Geisler, a renowned alpine and ice climber, stuntman, and operator. Just like his boldest climbing creation, Wolverine — the hardest ice climb on the planet — Chris methodically approached something that has been said “can’t be done”: affordable longitudinal health monitoring.
He asked “What if health data actually belonged to the patient so that it could move?”
Fluid Medical was founded to answer it. The vision was a secure personal platform where individuals could aggregate their medical history, integrate inputs from wearables, self-testing, and environmental data, and build a longitudinal health profile they owned completely. Not stored somewhere on their behalf — genuinely theirs. Portable, visible, and under their control.
Principles that are non-negotiable.
Data sovereignty
Your health data belongs to you. Not to us, not to an insurer, not to a platform. We built the infrastructure to make this promise enforceable, not just contractual.
Radical transparency
We publish our data architecture, our accuracy validation methodology, and our privacy commitments in full. No dark patterns. No fine print that contradicts the headline.
Access, not exclusivity
We build for people who have been underserved by health technology — not just the quantified-self early adopter. Oria’s core tier is free because access to your own biomarkers should not be a luxury.
We are hiring.
We are a small, focused team building technology that should exist. If you want to work on health data infrastructure that genuinely puts users first, we would love to hear from you.
